which fictional character do i identify with

i identify with Langston from the story very much because my family was always very religious and this had a similar but less intense impact on me when i was younger. I am glad he achieved the realization he did at such a young age.

Salvation questions

1. it is titled salvation because of the way he describes the idea of salvation through religion.
2.  I was saved from sin when i was going of thirteen, but not really saved.
3. the narrator is Langston, this point of view is important because you get to see the dry reality of of the ceremony.
4.  Wesley just wants to get it over with and doesn't care ether way wether Jesus showed up or not.
5. Wesley is just a kid who is acting like any kid could be expected to in that religious situation.
6.  He finally gives in because he doesn't know what else to do, he felt bad for holding things up.
7.
8. At the end of the story he realizes he wouldn't be able to see jesus and that no one else could ether.
9. I think he has come to terms with is so i think his attitude is neutral
10. he refers to adults as "the older people" and the perspective is one of general confusion, which makes sense because he is a young child.
11. He describes the church and everything happening in it in a way that everyone can understand and relate to, therefore he didn't need to make it any longer than he did.
12.
13. younger girls are more concerned than boys with pleasing others, especially adults that are family members.
14. there are a lot of shepherds is the bible, therefore god has always been refereed to at the shepherd of his human flock.

This is a picture can be interpreted to represent the theory of the ego, superego, and id. You can see the two reflections in the marble representing the two sides of the human personality, the superego and the id. The id is the "wild child" in us, the devil on our shoulder telling us to seek self indulgence at any cost. The superego is the figurative angel on our shoulder telling us to seek perfection at any cost. the only difference between the devil and angel idea and the id and superego personalities so to speak, is that nether the superego nor the id are correct in their temptations. This is why we, in the sense of our personality and thought process, are the balance between the two. For human beings at least, ultimate indulgence is just as impossible as ultimate perfection.
